Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship in Hungary
Where:CEU Business School, Room 101, Frankel Leó út 30-34., Budapest 1023 , Hungary
When:8th March 2013 — from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM
About This Special Workshop
While gaining increasing momentum across the globe, social entrepreneurship is still a largely misunderstood concept and movement. Fundamentally, it aims to apply market-based mechanisms and innovative business models to address some of the deepest social problems that society faces. Yet the design and implementation of social entrepreneurship approaches are highly diverse and its success varies.
This special workshop is jointly sponsored by the CEU InnovationsLab, Ashoka Hungary, the Foundation for Development of Democratic Rights (DemNet) and NESsT. By assembling experts and admired social entrepreneurs from Hungary and beyond, we aim to bring greater clarity to the definition of social entrepreneurship and, more importantly, to identify the most effective ways to be successful in this arena.
Objectives
§ To provide a wide-ranging and informed discussion of social entrepreneurship focusing especially on the most effective strategies required for creating new social ventures and for using social impact measuring to make social ventures more successful.
§ To leverage the knowledge and experience of our existing community of impressive social entrepreneurs and to share their insights for building an even stronger social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
